Professional ITF-14 Barcode Generator - Comprehensive Guide
ITF-14 (Interleaved 2 of 5) is the GS1 standard used for marking the outer packaging of products, such as master cartons or pallets. It encodes the 14-digit Global Trade Item Number (GTIN).
Why Use ITF-14?
Unlike retail barcodes (EAN/UPC), ITF-14 is specifically designed to be printed directly onto corrugated cardboard, which is highly porous. The thick black border (called a bearer bar) prevents the printing plate from distorting and ensures the code remains readable even in harsh warehouse environments.
